Produzione Cerasuolo IGT Terre di Chieti

Production of Rosato IGT Terre di Chieti

When the clusters of our Montepulciano grapes acquire the classic dark color of late veraison, the time comes to begin harvesting in Terre di Masciulli, usually in the first two weeks of October.

In our vineyards in the shadow of the Majella mountains, the grapes are picked by hand and transported to the winery in suitable crates to avoid crushing the berries, which, by breaking before vinification, could lose their characteristics and aromas.

After destemming, the grape bunches are crushed and the must is transferred to fermenters where the fermentation process begins.

Thus begins the process of transforming the sugars into alcohol in our Rosato IGT Terre di Chieti.
